The Daily Prothom Alo is a major daily newspaper in Bangladesh, published from Dhaka in the Bengali language. Prothom Alo is the second largest newspaper in Bangladesh based on circulation. According to National Media Survey 2014, conducted by MRB Bangladesh, more than 4.9 million people read the print edition of Prothom Alo every day. The online portal of Prothom Alo is the most visited Bangladeshi and Bengali website of the world. It started its journey on 4 November 1998.

The Daily Ittefaq ( Doinik Ittefak) is a Bengali-language daily newspaper. Founded in 1953, it is the oldest newspaper and one of the most circulated newspapers in Bangladesh. This newspaper is printed by Ittefaq Group of Publications Limited.

Samakal ( samakal, "current time, contemporary") is a Bengali-language daily newspaper published in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Samakal started publishing on 31 May 2005. As of 2007, the circulation of Samakal is around 200,000.

Mustafiz Shafi is serving as the acting editor and S.M. Shahab Uddin as the Executive Director. After the death of Golam Sarwar; the founder editor, Mustafiz Shafi took charge as the acting editor of Samakal from 13 August 2018.


Daily Amader Shomoy is a Bengali language daily newspaper from Bangladesh. Amader Shomoy started publishing in 2003 under Nayeemul Islam Khan but was removed as publisher by a court order in 2012. Mohammad Golam Sarwar is the current editor of the newspaper.

Kaler Kantho (Daily Voice of Time) is one of the most popular Bengali newspapers in Bangladesh. It is an enterprise of East-West Media Group, a sister concern of Bangladesh's leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group. The same group owns Bangladesh Pratidin, Daily Sun, News24, Radio Capital and Banglanews24.

Abed Khan was the founder editor of Kaler Kantho. The daily was first published on 10 January 2010. After a short span of time Khan resigned as editor (June 2011). After Abed Khan's resignation Imdadul Haq Milon, a popular novelist from Bangladesh is working as the editor.[3] In 2010, Its first year of publication, the daily print order ran over 280,000 copies and it made the paper as the second-most circulated daily newspaper in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Pratidin is the daily Bengali-language "independent" newspaper in Bangladesh. It was founded in 2010. Bangladesh Pratidin tops the list of highest circulated dailies in the country out of 345 newspapers published from Dhaka and elsewhere, the information minister told parliament March 10, 2014. Its editor is Naim Nizam. He is a well-known veteran journalist in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Pratidin is a subsidiary of East-west media group which is owned by Bashundhara Group. On behalf of the east-west media group, the publisher of the Newspaper is Moynal Hossain Chowdhury.

Dailysangram:
The Daily Sangram, also known as Dainik Sangram ( Doinik Shônggram "Daily Struggle") is a Pro-Jamaat-e-Islami Bengali daily newspaper published from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The name of the editor is Abul Asad, who is also the writer of the popular fiction series, the Saimum Series. The Daily Sangram publishes both Bangladesh and international news as well as local and regional perspectives. It also provides entertainment, business, science, technology, sports, movies, travel, jobs, education, health, environment, human-rights news and more.

Bhorer Kagoj (Bhorer Kagoj "Dawn's Paper") is a major Bengali-language daily newspaper, published from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dainik Janakantha (Bengali: দৈনিক জনকণ্ঠ Dainik Janakanṭha "Daily People's Voice") is a Bengali daily newspaper published from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

It is owned by Janakantha Shilpa Paribar (GJSP). This newspaper was first published on 21 February 1993.

Mohammad Atikullah Khan is the editor of this newspaper. In 1999 Bangladesh army personnel had to defuse a landmine left at the newspaper office by suspected Islamist militants.
